Occupational Therapist · Adult Neuro & Clinical Education
I turn complex clinical information into clear, usable steps for patients, families, and the clinicians who care for them.
2022 – present
A 45-minute in-service teaching OTs to carry executive function strategies from the clinic into real life: medications, meals, bills, phone calls and errands. Covers the transfer continuum, awareness building, cueing and documentation, with a reusable session planner and a pre/post knowledge check.
A quick reference that helps therapists adjust sessions for multiple sclerosis, including how to tell heat effects from a relapse, paired with a large-print patient and family handout on saving energy and staying cool. Developed with a reading-level check, teach-back and feedback surveys.
A one-page guide for clinical reasoning during chart review, before entering the room: diagnosis, anticipated deficits, safety and discharge planning. Built for therapists new to acute care at a Level I trauma center, and used by colleagues day to day.
A training guide for moving patients safely with lines, drains and tubes. An eight-step line scan for every session, one card per line type in the same layout, clear steps if something comes out, and a return-demonstration competency sign-off for new staff.
Inpatient rehab referrals get denied when therapy notes miss what Medicare and payers look for, such as tolerance for about 3 hours of therapy a day. This one-page card compares IRF and SNF criteria side by side, adds a "documentation that gets approved" checklist, and builds the criteria into an EHR note template with a 30-second summary for the physician.
One-page profiles that show teachers each student's sensory challenges by category, whether the student needs relief or input to regulate, and concrete ways to provide it during the school day.
Concept work · 2026
Fixes I've designed for problems I see at the bedside: rounds that skip rehab, IRF referrals that stall, holds found too late. Each is a working concept ready to bring to a committee, not yet piloted.
Every patient, family member, and new therapist learns differently. I adapt instruction to each one and check understanding through return demonstration before they go it alone.
Years of information and UI design shape every handout and job aid I make. Clear layout and plain language help people act on what they learned.
When a tool or process slows clinicians down, I name the problem and propose a fix, from EHR documentation to how evaluations get scheduled.
I check whether teaching sticks, with pre/post knowledge checks, teach-back, staff feedback and chart audits, then revise the material based on what I find.

I'm a licensed occupational therapist with 4+ years of experience across acute care, a Level I trauma center, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, outpatient hand therapy, and schools. I've supervised OT students and helped onboard new therapists.
Before OT, I was a digital and UI/UX designer. Now I use those skills to build training that is visual, easy to follow, and made for the people who use it.
